'Mulan' Gets PG-13 Rating Ahead of Release

It was just revealed that Mulan would be getting an unexpected rating when it hits theaters!

The upcoming live action film was given a PG-13 rating from the The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

According to THR, the reasoning the rating is “sequences of violence.”

This marks a first for Disney’s live action films as none have ever received above a PG rating. The last Disney movie to receive a PG-13 rating was Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017.

You can watch the latest trailer for the movie right here if you haven’t already seen it!

Mulan hits theaters on March 27th.
