Walt Disney World is officially open!

The Orlando park has opened it’s gates, on Tuesday (July 7) and Wednesday (July 8), for a cast member preview/soft opening.

WDW, which is currently only open to cast members and their friends and family, will open to the public on Saturday (July 11).

The Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks are the only two out of all the parks at the resort that will be opening this weekend, with Hollywood Studios and Epcot set to reopen next Wednesday (July 15).

While the park is beginning it’s planned, phased reopening, many fans have mixed feelings – some are excited the parks are opening back up, and others are concerned with Florida’s Coronavirus numbers.

The state is being considered as a new epicenter for the pandemic, joining Arizona and Texas as some of the states with the highest numbers of cases.

Disneyland in California had planned to begin their phased reopening next week, on July 17th, but their plans are currently on hold as the government has yet to sign off on their reopening.

In case you missed it, this ride at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will be getting a makeover!
