Isabelle Fuhrman Reprising 'Orphan' Role For New Prequel Film

Isabelle Fuhrman is heading back to the world of Orphan!

The 23-year-old actress will reprise her character Esther, “an Eastern European child adopted by parents (played by Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga) overcoming an unspeakable loss of their own,” for a prequel movie, Variety reports.

The Orphan prequel has actually been in the works for a while. Isabelle shared her excitement back in February.

“CLEANING OFF THE HAMMER AND POLISHING MY KNIVES !!!!! Let’s f***ing go!!!!! #orphan #orphanprequel,” she wrote on Instagram.

Plot points for the movie are unknown, but Isabelle will for sure star, and she’ll also serve as Associate Producer. William Brent Bell will direct with a script by David Coggeshall.

In the original 2009 movie, it was revealed that “Esther was not a child at all, but an adult woman with primordial dwarfism masquerading as a nine-year-old. This made her attempts to split up her parents and eliminate her siblings all the more sinister and unforgettable.”
