'Stranger Things' Season 4 Premiere Dates Revealed, Renewed For 5th & Final Season!

Stranger Things season four is going to be it’s biggest one yet!!!

Netflix just debuted five new location posters for the long-awaited season, and they also revealed that it will air in two parts, both premiering this summer.

Here’s a synopsis: It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

Creators Matt and Ross Duffer reveal what went into the making of it – “With nine scripts, over eight-hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one,” they shared in an open letter.

“Given the unprecedented length, and to get it to you as soon as possible, Season 4 will be released in two volumes. Volume One will release on May 27th; Volume Two will release five weeks later on July 1st,” they added. “So that’s the good news. It’s coming soon. And it’s bigger than ever.”

They also went on to preface that it is also the beginning of the end, as Stranger Things has been renewed for a fifth and final season on Netflix.

“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last,” the brothers stated.

The world of Stranger Things may not be gone though, as there are plans for potentially multiple spinoffs!
