Tenzing Norgay Trainor & On My Block's Peggy Blow Cast In 'Freeridge' Spinoff

More casting news has been revealed for the upcoming On My Block spinoff series Freeridge!

The upcoming show was announced in September 2021, and just over a week later casting was announced.

Now, we’re learning more about who we’ll be seeing in the show, including some familiar faces like Tenzing Norgay Trainor and OMB‘s Peggy Blow, according to Variety.

Previously announced series regulars are Bryana Salaz, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ciara Riley Wilson and Shiv Pai, who were introduced in On My Block‘s series finale.

Details on Tenzing and Peggy‘s characters are currently being kept under wraps.

The actress however will not be reprising her role of Marisol Martinez, aka Abuelita, as she died of cancer in On My Block. She will be playing a whole new role!

Also returning, but reprising their On My Block roles, are Paula Garcés (Geny Martinez), Eric Gutierrez (Ruben Martinez), Eme Ikwuakor (Dwayne Turner) and Raushanah Simmons (Fran Turner). They have recurring parts in the new series.

Filming on season one is already completed, and we’re just waiting on an update on when it will premiere!

Tenzing was most recently seen appearing in the Netflix limited series Boo, B-tch!
