When Peggy Blow was announced to be on Freeridge, many were wondering who she would portray.

The actress was previously on flagship series On My Block, where her character Marisol “Abuelita” Martinez died in the show’s final season.

With Freeridge coming out, details on her character were kept under wraps, with the only known info was that she was playing a new character.

Now, the spinoff has been out for nearly a week on Netflix, and details on who she plays have been revealed, and it was all her idea!

Julio Macias snaps a group photo with the stars of Freeridge at their premiere on Thursday (January 26) in Los Angeles.

The On My Block star posed with the new core four of the upcoming spinoff – Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Ciara Riley Wilson, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Bryana Salaz.

More stars from On My Block in attendance, who are also in Freeridge, include Peggy Blow, Paula Garcés and Eric Gutierrez, as well as stars from the new series JR Villareal, Michael Solomon, Zaire Adams, Jean Paul San Pedro, Jami Alix, Abraham Rodriguez and Ashley Argota Torres.

Showing their support were On My Block‘s Nikki Rodriguez, Ciara‘s Kim Possible co-star Sadie Stanley, Descendants‘ Brenna D’Amico, Tenzing and Keyla‘s Boo, B-tch co-stars Savira Windyani and Aparna Brielle, plus That ’90s Show stars Callie Haverda, Maxwell Acee Donovan and Sam Morelos.

Freeridge is a coming of age comedy following sibling rivals Gloria (Mejia) and Ines (Salaz) and their friends Demi (Wilson) and Cameron (Trainor) who have unleashed a curse bringing dark misfortune into their lives.

Netflix just revealed the first look at the upcoming final season, as well as the premiere date.

Diego Tinoco, Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray, Jessica Marie Garcia and Julio Macias are all returning for the new episodes, which will mark the end of the series.

On My Block is returning for a fourth season!

The Netflix series will indeed be back, but it will be the final season.

“We’ve got unfinished business in Freeridge. On My Block is coming back for the 4th and final season,” Netflix teased.

The announcement comes almost a whole year since season three premiered in March 2020.

The show follows four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high-school set in the rough inner city.

Sierra Capri, Diego Tinoco, Brett Gray, Jason Genao, Jessica Marie Garcia and Julio Mancias all star in the show.
