Millie Bobby Brown Opens Up 'Enola Holmes 2' Kissing Scene: 'I Just Kept Punching Him'

Millie Bobby Brown is dishing on that scene where Enola and Tewkesbury finally kiss in Enola Holmes 2!

The 18-year-old actress opened up in a new featurette from Netflix, where she also talked about why she punched Louis Partridge so many times.

“When we actually had our first kiss scene, within the scene, I had to punch him,” she said. “And because Louis is a good friend, I just kept punching him.”

“You know, I wasn’t doing stunts. I really was hurting him,” Millie continued. “And by the end of it he said, ‘Millie, can you just fake punch me?’ I was really just getting him right in the stomach.”

“It turned out to be really funny. It was very funny for me and actually now you that grunt from him. ‘Cause I think I’m winding him,” she added. “Even on the set of Stranger Things with the boys, I would do the same thing because it’s just your friends, and it also feels like your people that you’ve grew up with.”

As for the kiss…

“My first kiss was on screen in front of my dad and 200 crew members, so for me, [it's] whatever. Right on the rehearsal, I grabbed his face and kissed him, and he [was taken aback]. It was so cute,” she said, adding that they had to kiss so many times.

“For the rest of the day, which is the worst part, because it’s like, ‘Okay, this is happening,’ and then after the eighth hour you’re like, ‘I’m getting exhausted from doing this,’” she shared. “On every shot, I’d say over 50 times. It’s a very cute scene and I think fans are going to love it.”

On Instagram, Louis wrote, “Can confirm that millie knows how to punch…”

Enola and Tewkesbury didn’t kiss in the first movie and Louis revealed the reason why.

If you missed it, Millie said this co-star was a “lousy kisser.”
