Wednesday has been a hit on the streamer, immediately rising to the top spot on the most watched TV series list and has remained there throughout the weekend. The series will debut at the top of Netflix’s Top 10 weekly list, and we’ll find out Tuesday (November 29) just how many hours it has been viewed so far.

As for a second season, Miles told TV Line, “We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles.”

While the show focuses on Wednesday, they “definitely want to feature the family as we did this season in a couple of episodes if we were to get a second season.”

“For us, it’s always looking at the future, and when we sit down to create a show, it’s looking at multiple seasons, ideally. That’s never expected, but that’s the anticipation that hopefully the show is successful,” Miles added to Variety. “So you always lay out at least three or four seasons’ worth of potential storylines for the characters. It can evolve and change. Often, you want to see which characters or cast pop and who you like to write for. So you want to keep it open and organic enough to change it and evolve, but we certainly have a pretty clear runway of what we want to do in future seasons.”
