Emily in Paris' Lucien Laviscount Talks About the Phone Call He'll Never Forget

Lucien Laviscount plays Alfie in the Netflix series Emily in Paris and the show is responsible for a phone call that he’ll never forget.

The 30-year-old actor says that the phone call happened late at night and gave him quite a scare.

Lucien opened up about Emily in Paris creator Darren Star calling him to tell him that he’d be a series regular in season three.

“I’ll never forget when I got the phone call, it must have been about midnight,” Lucien told InStyle. “Automatically I’m like, ‘What have I done wrong? I’m in trouble.’ [Darren’s] like, ‘Would you come back to do the third season?’ That feeling for me was just so amazing. Nothing really touches that.” 

He added, “It’s a superpower to make people feel good, especially with a show like this [and] the people it’s managed to touch from different countries and cultures around the world.”
