'How I Met Your Father' to Make Network Cable Debut on Freeform!

How I Met Your Father is joining the lineup at Freeform!

The Hulu series, starring Hilary Duff, will be making it’s linear network debut on the Disney-owned network, in April, according to Variety.

This will mark the first time the How I Met Your Mother comedy spinoff has aired somewhere other than Hulu.

If you don’t know, HIMYF takes place “in the near future, where Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the present where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”

Also starring the show are Francia Raisa, Christopher Lowell, Tien Tran, Tom Ainsley and Suraj Sharma.

Season one guest stars in Kim Cattrall as the older version of Sophie, Leighton Meester, Josh Peck, Ashley Reyes, Daniel Augustin, Paget Brewster, Mason Gooding and of course, How I Met Your Mother‘s Cobie Smulders.

The second season is currently airing weekly on Tuesdays on Hulu.

How I Met Your Father season one will debut on Freeform with the first two episodes on Tuesday, April 25th at 10pm ET/PT, with back-to-back episodes weekly. The season one finale will air on May 23rd on Freeform.
