Meet 'Saturdays' Actress Daria Johns & Learn 10 Fun Facts About Her (Exclusive)

Daria Johns is starring in the new series Saturdays and opened up to JJJ about some things you may not know about her!

The actress stars as Simone, one of Paris’ best friends and members of the We-B-Girlz skate crew.

Saturdays is a new Disney Channel series which follows Paris, who, since the age of four, has been honing her skills on the cool parquet floor of SATURDAYS, a local skating rink owned and operated by a former ’90s hip-hop back-up dancer. With its neon lights, galaxy-painted rink and killer D.J. spinning the latest music, SATURDAYS is the place to show and prove your skills. Paris is the leader of a skate crew, We-B-Girlz, and is determined to take them all the way to the top and become Goldens, the top skaters in Chicago.

The series currently airs on Friday nights on Disney Channel, and we recently caught up with Daria and got to know 10 Fun Facts about her. Find out what she shared with us below!

I can wiggle my ears! My parents say that I did it as a baby when I got excited. I can still move them on command and I can not for the life of me explain how I do it, I just do.
2. I am from the Southside of Chicago, Illinois and I currently live in Los Angeles, California. My family moved here in 2016.
3. My favorite colors are turquoise and purple.
4. I have a 6-year-old tabby cat named Katniss Everdeen. I am a bonafide cat person and would love to get her a playmate.
5. My favorite foods are Italian food and bacon. I could definitely eat bacon every day of my life!
6. I love sports! I was on the track and volleyball team. I am a strong swimmer and will dive into any water. I enjoy watching football and basketball games with my Dad.
7. My favorite pastime is reading. I usually complete a novel a week. I read YA but supernatural fantasy like vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, and horror content is my favorite.
8. My Mom loved the name of the character on the MTV show Daria, which is how I got my name. Daria is a Greek name that means rich and wealthy. I am faithful that my name is prophetic.
9. I was born on December 21st which is the cusp. I consider my zodiac sign to be a Saggicorn because my GiGi wants to claim me as a Sagittarius and my Dad and Granny claim me as a Capricorn. I have seen both in some astrology books. I think it is cool that I share a birthday with Quinta Brunson and Samuel Jackson!
10. I am an only child, but I have a HUGE family. While I have eight first cousins, my Mom and Dad have 54 first cousins between the two of them! We completely lose count with the 2nd and 3rd cousins. There are a bunch of us.
