Miranda Cosgrove Reveals Creddie Kiss Was Improvised, Talks Carly & Freddie Finally Getting Together on New 'iCarly' Episode

Well, it has finally happened – it took a little more than two seasons, but Carly and Freddie are officially Creddie!

In the latest episode of iCarly, “iMake New Memories,” committed to rebuilding their friendship, Carly and Freddie team to recreate some of their favorite memories after all of Carly’s photos and videos are erased from her phone.

After Carly learned that one memory went very different from Freddie’s perspective, the two realize they need to tell each other how they feel. Then, they kiss!

In a new interview, Miranda Cosgrove opened up about the characters finally getting together and how their kiss in the episode was actually improvised.

“It’s taken 15 years for them to finally get together,” she told EW. “I think that it makes a lot of sense for both of the characters. And if it were real life, I could see it actually taking this long because it feels like every time one of them likes the other, it’s not the right moment or it’s not for the right reason, and now it finally is.”

As for the kiss, it wasn’t in the script but the writers definitely brought it up to try during filming!

“It wasn’t in the script at all,” Miranda shared. “We did it in one take the very last time and we were both really unsure about it. Some of the writers came over and they were like, ‘We have this idea, it might be too much, but just give it a shot for one take.’ And so many times we do things and it doesn’t end up on the show or we’ll improvise. So you never know what’s gonna end up in there. That’s what makes it fun and exciting. When we were filming the scene, we were both like, we don’t know if this is gonna work, but we’ll try it. And it ended up being the last line of the episode.”

Nathan Kress shared on social media hours before it dropped, that this episode was really for the fans.

“It’s truly for you. I can’t express that enough. We put our heart and soul into it. You guys are the best and you deserve the best story we can possibly deliver to you,” he tweeted.
