Alex R Hibbert to Play Kel Mitchell's Son in 'Good Burger 2,' Plus More OGs Join the Cast!

We are learning more and more about the upcoming Good Burger 2!

The long-awaited sequel to the 1997 movie is in the works with Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reprising their fan-favorite roles.

Additional casting for the new film has just been announced, including The Chi star Alex R Hibbert, who will be playing Ed2, the son of Kel‘s Ed, Variety reveals.

Original Good Burger actors Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg and Carmen Electra will be reprising their roles, plus Lil Rel Howery will join as Cecil McNevin, a lawyer from the suspiciously titled MegaCorp, and Jillian Bell joins as Katt Boswell, the corporation’s CEO.

Also new to the cast as new Good Burger employees include Kamaia Fairburn, Fabrizio Guido, Anabel Graetz and twins Elizabeth and Emily Hinkler.

There will be more celebrity cameos announced at a later time.

The upcoming movie will follow Dexter Reed (Thompson) and original cashier Ed (Mitchell) as they reunite in the present day at the fast food restaurant Good Burger, along with a new group of employees.

In the sequel, Dexter is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.
