Olivia Rodrigo returns to the emotional honesty that made breakout hit “drivers license” shine on her new single “vampire.”

On Friday (June 30), the 20-year-old SOUR pop star introduced her highly anticipated sophomore album GUTS with the new song.

Lyrically, it finds her dealing with lost love again, and it’s evidence that Olivia is every bit as prepped and primed to dominate the charts in 2023.

Olivia addresses “six months of torture” with her partner, who she then compares to a “bloodsucker, famef-cker.”

“I’ve made some real big mistakes, but you make the worst one look fine / I should have known it was strange / you only come out at night,” she sings of her ex over a mournful production. “I used to think I was smart / But you made me look so naive.”

She paired the single with an appropriately moody music video, too.
