Miranda Cosgrove Talks Possibility of New Music & If They Would Do a Musical Episode of 'iCarly'

New Miranda Cosgrove music?! Maybe…

The 30-year-old actress dished on if she has plans to make music again, and if they would ever do a musical episode of iCarly in a new interview.

If you recall, Miranda previously shared that she fought to keep the original iCarly theme song, instead of re-recording it.

“I fought so hard to keep the original theme song. We went around a bunch of times, thinking of maybe re-recording the same song now or doing a different song,” she told Seventeen. “But, for me, when I watch revivals, I always am hoping for the original theme song and I feel like none of them ever really stick with the original. So we ended up going with the same one in the end.”

So, would they do a musical episode and would she make new music??

“I have thought about it before. We even threw around doing a musical episode this season and having, making everybody sing. But we didn’t end up doing it, but maybe in the future,” Miranda told SiriusXM’s Mack in the Morning. “And I don’t know, as far as recording songs again, I still play guitar and I like, I love singing. It was always a passion of mine, but I’m kind of focusing more on acting right now.”

Miranda also opened up about how she feels about her song “Kissin U” and how it’s come full circle.

“Well, I co-wrote that song and it was about my like first real love. So whenever I hear it, it always makes me think about like being in high school and being in love and like where I was at when I was working on the song,” she said. “But also it’s funny cuz now people are making fan edits out of Carly and Freddie from the original series to now and a lot of people put it to that song, so it’s come full circle.”
