Camila Cabello Breaks Down Her Reinvention Ahead of New Album

Camila Cabello is reintroducing herself to the world as she gears up to unleash a new album.

The 26-year-old pop star will drop her first album since 2022′s Familia this year.

She kicked things off in earnest earlier this month by going blonde.

In a new interview, Camila opened up about her decision to make the big change and teased what fans can expect when the album arrives.

Speaking to Puss Puss, Camila stressed that she needed the transformation.

“I feel like I needed to have a different physical appearance, something different to kind of help me channel that energy that I accessed in my songwriting voice more,” she said.

She went as far as to describe the decision as “chaotic and brave,” saying that it helped her reclaim her “unhinged sparkle.”

That is a larger theme that will play out across her album: “I think it is part of a kind of reinvention,” she said about the project’s theme. “I feel like so much of the album has a through line and there’s definitely more themes that the album touches.”
