Emma Shannon can currently be seen starring on Disney Channel’s newest series Pretty Freekin Scary!
The young actress portrays Nyx on the show, which is based off of the book series of the same name, and follows 14-year-old Frankie Ripp who had a perfect life — a great family, an annoying little brother, a popular boyfriend and a BFF she could always count on.
However, her life took a surprising turn after an unfortunate incident. After some heated debate in the Underworld with the Grim Reaper herself, Frankie is forced to navigate life with her new Underworld guardians, Pretty and Scary, in the most challenging setting of all … middle school. Pretty freekin scary, huh?
One of this week’s two new episodes, “That Sleepover Life,” actually centers around Emma’s character Nyx having never been to a sleepover before, so Frankie is determined to fix that. Meanwhile, Mr. Ripp takes the boys on a camping trip. Pretty serves as Scary’s wingman when he discovers she has a crush.

The upcoming Disney Branded Television show centers on 14-year-old Frankie Ripp, played by Eliana Su’a, as she returns from the underworld and faces real life middle school problems with a couple of friends, as they all adjust to a new life after death.

Another brand new series is coming to Disney!
Pretty Freekin Scary has been greenlit for 20 episodes, and is based on the popular book series of the same name.
The new show is the first from a development deal between CakeStart Entertainment and Disney. Former VP Original Series for Disney, Kory Lunsford, is president and partner at CakeStart!
