We’re getting to know Jovan Armand, who can be seen starring in the new movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods!

The 22-year-old actor plays Pedro Pena in the sequel movie, who is one of Billy Batson’s foster siblings. DJ Cotrona plays the superhero version of Pedro.

“I like his relatability and taste in fashion as well as personality,” Jovan recently told Digital Journal about what draws him to playing Pedro. “His personality reminds me a lot of a younger me.”

In the upcoming movie, Pedro’s sexuality will be more prevalent than in the first movie.

“The only new addition for this movie is being a lot more forthright about Pedro being gay. And that was hinted at in the first movie very subtly,” screenwriter Henry Gayden said about diversity and representation in the sequel. “And I thought it was really important and really, really fought for us including that and bringing that to the fore in this movie.”

Rachel Zegler slays another red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods held at Regency Village Theatre on Tuesday (March 14) in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old star was joined by her boyfriend Josh Andres Rivera, marking their first red carpet as a couple in a year.

We last saw them back in 2022 at the Grammys and the Oscars. Since then, the couple filmed their second movie together, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes!

Also in attendance at the Shazam! premiere were Rachel‘s co-stars – Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Ross Butler, Zachary Levi, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Grace Caroline Currey, Djimon Hounsou, DJ Cotrona, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Milans, Meagan Good, Adam Brody with wife Leighton Meester, PJ Byrne and Faithe Herman.

The week before, several of the cast members were over in London for the UK premiere of the upcoming film, which hits theaters THIS Friday (March 17)!

The new look at the superhero movie sees Shazam (Zachary Levi) at odds with the daughters of Atlas, played by Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.

The new trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods is out now and it features Rachel Zegler‘s new character showing off her superpowers!

The trailer premiered at 2022 Comic-Con, but the 21-year-old actress sadly couldn’t attend the event.

“i love my shazamily. wish i could be with you at #SDCC2022!!!!! but miss key role will find her way in somehow or another… ⚡️✨❤️🔑,” she tweeted.

The movie continues the story of teenage Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam (Zachary Levi).

Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu also joined the cast for the sequel, which will hit theaters on December 21, 2022.

Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer share a cute hug on the red carpet at the premiere of their new movie Shazam! on Thursday (March 28) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

The guys were joined at the event by their co-star Zachary Levi, who plays the superhero version of Asher‘s character.

More cast members at the event included Mark Strong, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Marta Milans, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Faithe Herman, and Jovan Armand.

The new superhero movie hits theaters on April 5 and it has great reviews right now with a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes at the moment.

One Crazy Cruise follows a family that goes on a cruise but not all is what it seems. The next day they wake up with no memories of last night, which gets them in a lot of trouble.
