Mike Flanagan is opening up about what would have happened in The Midnight Club season two.
The filmmaker co-created the Netflix series with Leah Fong, and it was just announced that the streaming service has canceled the show after one season.
Right after the show came out, Mike had shared that if the series wasn’t renewed, he would still share the answers to unresolved things in season one and what he would’ve had happen in season two.
“We also didn’t answer some of the bigger questions of the season,” he told press, via Variety. “Those answers exist, but were meant to be for the next season. If there isn’t one, I’ll put them up on Twitter. Then we’ll at least all be able to talk about it.”
After the cancelation news, he took to Twitter, writing, “I’m very disappointed that Netflix has decided not to pursue a second season of THE MIDNIGHT CLUB, but as promised, here are the answers to the unresolved mysteries of season 1 (along with our plans for season 2)”

Sad news for fans of the horror series The Midnight Club.
Variety reports that the Netflix series from Mike Flanagan has been canceled after only one season on the streaming service.
The series took place at a hospice for terminally ill young adults, where eight patients come together every night at midnight to tell each other stories — and make a pact that the next of them to die will give the group a sign from the beyond.
It was based on the 1994 novel of the same name, as well as other works, by Christopher Pike.

Igby plays boy-next-door type with a charming smile Kevin, who is an old soul who feels a cosmic connection with Ilonka. He is supportive of his family and his fellow patients, and sometimes has a tendency of putting his own needs last.

The horror drama is the latest from co-creator Mike Flanagan‘s “Netflix Flanaverse,” and takes place at a hospice with a mysterious history.
Adia can be seen as Cheri, the daughter of Hollywood hotshots, Cheri has had a life of privilege, comfort, and isolation. Her diagnosis leads her busy parents to send her to Brightcliffe where she finds trouble bonding with the group over her hesitation to share any truths about herself or her family.
“I’m excited for you all to meet the Club and hear our stories. I think that there’s a story for everyone to relate to,” she tells JJJ.

The actor, who uses she/they pronouns, is portraying Natsuki in the Netflix adaptation, based on the creative work of bestselling author Christopher Pike.
Natsuki is a patient at Brightcliffe, who is a creative and thoughtful individual who has struggled with mental health most of her life. She may be a quiet member of the group, but she comes to life when she tells one of her many frightening ghost stories.
