All the steps forwards that she took with frozen ground and gimme shelter, are about to become nothing with this stupid music project. She should know that her music wasn’t succesful during the hsm times, so there is no way that things take off this time. As much as I love her i wish she could have a better supporting system that could help her to take the smartest decisions on her career. Just hopping for the best.

@andrea: Vanessa’s said on Larry King earlier this year that this project is something very personal to her. Vanessa has an amazing team surrounding her who support her in anything she decides to do. It is her career after all. She’s almost 26. It’s not like anyone can really tell her what she can or can’t do. Her music that she had wasn’t as big as Selena or Miley’s but it was successful. Her debut album was certified Gold. It was also voted as the seventh best album of 2007 by the readers of Billboard.

    I’m excited!!! :)
I’ve been waiting for more/new music from Vanessa!

@Melissa: i don’t pretend her music to be succesfull comercially. Miley and Selena are not going to win a grammy or be at the rock and roll hall of fame, and I don’t expect Vanessa to make such crappy music as them either. Is just that nobody respects musicians who act, or actors who sings. Even Whitney Houston or Elvis, who were great musicians, were a joke as actors. I just wish Vanessa could define herself and work on that, and her latest movies were pretty great and she has started to win a little more of respect for that, and I feel like she’ll be losing it with her new album.

  • Amy

@andrea: vanessa couldn’t care less if people respect her or not. if she wants to win respect she would do BIG projects but she doesn’t. She’s said many times that she acts and sings because its something she loves, she’s not like those plastic celebs that all they care its about fame and money

  • Mean

The last album didn’t last long in stores. What does her friend Laura know about music? This is the only way to keep her busy. No one wants her in movies.

  • Amy

@Mean: Hollywood Records made such a poor promotion for Identified, that’s why it wasn’t succesfull. Her film album was one of the best.

  • andrea

@Amy: I’m not saying that she’s worried about fame
and money, but everybody wants recognition and to be respected for what they do
