UK fans – this is your lucky day!

You’ve probably heard that Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger is premiering in June on Freeform, but haven’t heard anything about overseas networks at all – but we have NEWS!!!

The upcoming series will actually be premiering on Amazon Prime Video in Europe (U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy) that same month.

To be more specific, THE DAY AFTER the U.S. premiere, on June 8th! That’s amazing!

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, starring Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph, tells the story of two teenagers from very different backgrounds who find themselves burdened and awakened by their new powers.

The co-stars stepped out for their panel at the event on Saturday (March 24) at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.

While speaking, Olivia and Aubrey opened up about hoping to make an impact on young people with the show.

“[The show] was kind of emotionally draining to a point. The material is so serious and so dark in some ways. But I feel like we kind of went into the situation prepared, you know? We know that what we’re doing is very important and it has a chance to impact a lot of young lives,” Aubrey explained.

Olivia added, “We wanted to do it justice. We’re tackling so many important topics…[what] I think this world needs right now is a certain amount of education about things that are happening in 2018. We also just want to impact and inspire people and move people.”

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger will have a two-hour premiere on Thursday, June 7th on Freeform.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger just dropped a brand new poster with a major Marvel cinematic universe tie-in.

In the brand new poster, you see Tand/Dagger (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone/Cloak (Aubrey Joseph) on a rooftop in the city, with part of the Roxxon Oil Corporation sign just beside them.

If you don’t know, the faux company has played a role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, and Daredevil.

“The authenticity was something that I was very drawn to and not just within the characters but within the storylines,” Olivia recently shared about the series with Deadline.

She adds, “Yes, the show is about superheroes but I think what’s incredible about this show is that the audience is going to fall in love with the characters as themselves before they fall in love with them as superheroes.”

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger will have a two-hour premiere on Thursday, June 7th on Freeform.

Believe it or not, the chemistry between the stars of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger was hard to come by

During the 2018 SXSW Festival over the weekend, showrunner Joe Pokaski, Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb, and pilot director, Gina Prince-Bythewood all opened up about how Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph got their roles.

While Olivia was a frontrunner from the start, Cloak was more difficult to come by, especially when they wanted someone who would “crackle on screen with their Dagger,” according to Rotten Tomatoes.

Both Olivia and Aubrey recalled the day they had their final audition together, and how there was “undeniable chemistry” in the room when they began.

“It felt like we were the only two people in the room,” Olivia says. “It didn’t feel like there were 12 people sitting there watching us.”

And while the series will feature their love story, it’s about more than that.

“Half the people wants them to end up together and half the people are offended by that idea,” Joe Pokaski shared. “First and foremost, it’s a story about finding your best friend.”

Olivia Holt joins Aubrey Joseph at the world premiere watch party of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger during the 2018 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas over the weekend.

The two stars were joined by the creative team and chatted about the new series, which will make it’s Freeform debut in June.

Speaking with Insider recently, Olivia opened up about how the romance between Tandy and Tyrone on the series is a game changer.

“We’re changing the game in an organic, authentic and effortless way,” she says. “We’re not forcing anything, which I think is even more exciting than what it normally would feel like.”

Olivia adds that “having the opportunity to bring a comic superhero to life is surreal. I’m grateful and honored to be a part of the [Marvel] Universe, to tell these character’s stories, and to bring them to life in a way that, not just fans of the comics for years will like, but a new audience and generation will hopefully grasp on to.”

A brand new trailer has just been released for Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, starring Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph.

The new trailer shows both Tandy Bowen (Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Joseph) leading two completely different lives, who suddenly find themselves burdened by and awakened to newly discovered superpowers, which also happen to be mysteriously linked to each other.

The new Freeform series, which will officially debut on the network in June, will also host a world premiere watch party during 2018 SXSW in Austin, Texas, next weekend on March 11th.

Olivia and Aubrey, along with executive producer/showrunner Joe Pokaski, director Gina Prince-Bythewood, and executive producer and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb, will also be at the event to host a Q&A panel event about the series.
