Later in the evening, the 17-year-old gymnast skipped over to the PEOPLE/TIME party.
There, she mixed and mingled with Time Magazine Managing Editor Rick Stengel, athlete Donald Driver and his wife, Betina, Gayle King and Daniel Dae Kim.

The 17-year-old Olympian was on hand to speak at the celebration, and to recognize stand out children.
Our Military Kids provides activity grants to young people whose parents serve our country. Because money is often tight for military families–the grants are intended to help kids so they can participate in sports, arts programs or even tutoring if they need it.

The two Olympians and Fierce Five members were there to support Aly Raisman, who is competing on the show with partner Mark Ballas.

Gabby added, “Congrats Aly and Mark you guys did fabulous!!!”
Aly told Glamour after the show, “We don’t get to see each other all that much, so it’s really special when they are here, and they couldn’t have picked a better night to come. Without them, I wouldn’t be in this competition.”

The 17-year-old Olympian was on hand to present an award to Tammy Tibbetts.
“It was such an extreme honor to meet and present the @DVF 2013 People’s Voice Award to Tammy Tibbetts last night! #inspired,” Gabby tweeted.
The DVF Awards aim to provide recipients with the exposure and resources needed to extend their critical efforts on behalf of women’s causes and honors four recipients annually who have displayed leadership, strength, and courage in their commitment to their causes.
