Ross Lynch Shares Throwback Pictures from R5's First-Ever Concert!

Ross Lynch is celebrating 10 years making music.

The 23-year-old singer and actor shared a tribute to his band, R5, on Instagram Sunday (June 16) with a series of pictures from the group’s very first show a decade ago.

“HOLY CRAP it’s been 10 years since our first show ever,” Ross wrote in the post’s caption. “What a journey. This is our story – we started a band, worked our asses off, and then got to travel around the world playing music for all types of different people. Spreading love. That’s crazy.”

The photos feature Ross sporting an adorable, spiky blonde hairdo and his sister, Rydel Lynch, in an orange and yellow skirt and red high tops.

Mott 32 is one of Hong Kong’s most award-winning restaurants, which has now offically opened its first U.S. location.

During the celebration, guests sampled dishes from Mott 32’s acclaimed menu, including barbecue Pluma Iberico pork, minced duck in a lettuce cup and crispy sugar-coated barbecue pork buns, all while taking in the stunning design elements and unique Las Vegas details.

Additionally, throughout the evening, guests enjoyed music by 1920s speakeasy-inspired band Moonshiners, had their fortunes told, posed for photos, and more.

“Last night, we opened Mott 32 with style and grace,” Ross shared on Instagram. “Tonight, we eat everything on the menu with reckless abandon. You dim sum you lose sum.”

Mott 32 will open to the public tomorrow (December 30), and will offer a special prix-fixe menu on New Year’s Eve for $168 per person.

What Do The Rest of R5 Think About The Driver Era?

What Do The Rest of R5 Think About The Driver Era?

Fans had a ton of questions about Ross and Rocky Lynch‘s new music project, The Driver Era, when it was first announced.

The biggest question — what the rest of R5 (Riker, Rydel and Ellington) thought about it all.

Speaking with Billboard about it, Ross and Rocky assure everyone that they’re okay about it all.

“Everyone’s really into it, actually,” Ross explained. “Everyone is super supportive. We’ve always had a family dynamic, it’s always been love and support.”

He adds, “A big part of that is the fact that Rocky and I live together, and we’re in the studio every single day. We’re writing songs and working hard on this craft that we’ve honed in an and wanna continue to hone in on and perfect, which is songwriting and anything sonically really.”

“It feels organic and natural right now for it to be the main focus of The Driver Era.”

Moving on from R5 wasn’t a light decision, but it was a move in the right direction; and their family will always be supportive.

“We’ve all been playing music together for 10+ years. We’ve created such a bond that’s really electric on stage,” Ross adds. “I think that was the main appeal of R5, and that’s why a lot of people like us to this day. That’s how we sustained all of the energy we created 5 years ago.

“We don’t wanna tarnish that at all. We’re currently brainstorming ways on how to involve that same energy and dynamic into The Driver Era.”
