Scott Michael Foster Excited to Play the 'Bad Guy' on ABC's 'Blood & Oil' (JJJ Interview)

We caught up with the actor, who was recently – SPOILER ALERT! – killed off ABC Family’s Chasing Life.

But luckily, Scott stars in the brand new ABC drama Blood & Oil, which premieres TONIGHT, September 27 @ 9/8c. We can’t wait to watch!

Scott talked to us about Leo’s demise on Chasing Life, as well as what we can expect from his “bad boy” character on Blood & Oil. Check it:

JustJaredJr.com: When did you find out Leo’s story was coming to an end and what was your reaction?

Scott Michael Foster: I knew at the beginning of the season that the plan was to bring Leo’s story to an end. It was tough because the show was an amazing experience and everyone in the cast was so lovely to work with but it was time to move on.

JJJ: Knowing ahead of time, did that impact the way you approached the last few episodes in any way?

SMF: No, not really. I just played it one episode at a time.

JJJ: What will you miss most about working on the show?

SMF: The sweet motorcycle.

JJJ: Is there a possibility we may see Leo again in flashbacks?

SMF: There are no plans as of now to bring him back in anyway, but who knows!

JJJ: Tell us about your Blood & Oil character! How is he different from past characters you’ve played?

SMF: Wick Briggs is an entitled rich kid who just wants everything he feels he deserves and goes about getting it in all the wrong ways. It’s nice to play a “bad guy” for a change. Usually I’m playing someone funny or endearing so this is a good change of pace.

JJJ: The cast is great! Did you know anyone prior and/or who did you connect with most?

SMF: The cast is extremely strong. I didn’t know anyone but Don Johnson since he and I did another ABC pilot together years back. Though I’m not sure he remembered me at first�.

JJJ: Favorite scene partner?

SMF: Gotta say Don… But everyone is incredible so it’s really hard to pick.

JJJ: Describe Blood & Oil in three words!

SMF:: Money, sex, greed.
