If you remember, Italia starred in Freeform’s Chasing Life, which was much alike Life Sentence, and centered on April, who was blindsided by her cancer diagnosis and tried to keep it a secret from just about everyone.
After Lucy shared her note, Italia wrote to her, “I know the feeling,” along with a yellow heart.
Chasing Life was lucky enough to get two seasons on Freeform, before being cancelled. The series, as well as personal attachments, inspired Italia to get involved in many cancer charities and organizations, which she still participates in today.
Haley Ramm keeps it cute while attending The Rape Foundation’s 2015 Brunch held at Greenacres on Sunday (October 4) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 23-year-old actress recently responded to the devastating news that her show Chasing Lifehad been cancelled by ABC Family.
“Baby’s first show cancellation! But seriously, thanks to all our viewers. We had a great time doing it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m so happy to have been a part of a project that cares about portraying strong female characters and strong messages. Wouldn’t change a damn thing,” Haley captioned an Instagram photo, which you can check out below.
The tears are real you guys — Chasing Life has been cancelled.
According to THR, the ABC Family show starring Italia Ricci has been cancelled by the network after two seasons.
“With this finale, I wanted to go out as big as possible with as many question marks as possible,” showrunner Patrick Sean Smith shared about the cliffhanger on the season two finale. “Any time I ask a question on a show, I typically know what that answer is.”
He added, “There’s a lot to explore in season three, like April’s emotional state and her big decision to end treatment, there’s a lot to explore with Uncle George and the manuscript and the investigation that’s now in play, and then a lot to explore with Brenna and Finn now that Greer is moving back to town, and also what happens with Beth. I mean, everyone’s life is up in the air right now by the end of the second season.”
See, we NEED a season three for this!
WHAT DO YOU THINK about Chasing Life getting cancelled?

Caught up in the midst of family drama, April faces too many distractions that keep her from making progress on her book. But will April find the inspiration she seeks in Rome, or will this trip lead her down another path?

JustJaredJr.com: When did you find out Leo’s story was coming to an end and what was your reaction?
Scott Michael Foster: I knew at the beginning of the season that the plan was to bring Leo’s story to an end. It was tough because the show was an amazing experience and everyone in the cast was so lovely to work with but it was time to move on.
JJJ: Knowing ahead of time, did that impact the way you approached the last few episodes in any way?
SMF: No, not really. I just played it one episode at a time.
