From what we know, Jake Paul and Disney parted ways earlier this summer just shortly after his KTLA segment where he hopped on a truck.
But from the internet star’s new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, there seems to be more to the story.
“They [Disney] basically called me and were like, ‘Yo, what’s going on, what’s going on? And I just explained the situation, and they were like, ‘OK. We want to expedite this process of weaning you off the show,'” he explained.
Jake pointed out to the company that it would look like they fired him.
“They were like, ‘We can say that we mutually parted ways and blah, blah, blah.’ And that’s the reality of the story.”
Jake also opened up about how he was getting a ton of reminders from the network of his online antics and their disapproval of them.
“I was becoming edgier with my content,” he says, before they sent email warnings to him. “I don’t know if they were having someone scan my videos full-time, but I’m guessing they were…There kept on being moments like that every few weeks.”
