'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' Season 3 Announces New Casting, Including This 'HSM' OG

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is kicking off filming for the upcoming season three TODAY (January 18) in Los Angeles!!

As the Disney+ series heads into production, they also just announced the casting for the season, which includes series regulars Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Julia Lester, Dara ReneĆ©, Frankie Rodriguez, Kate Reinders and Olivia Rodrigo, plus season two’s Olivia Rose Keegan.

Notably missing from the cast list are Joe Serafini, Larry Saperstein and Mark St Cyr.

There will also be some new faces in season three, including a Disney Channel star and an original High School Musical star!

Season three is set at Camp Shallow Lake, a family-owned sleepaway camp in California, as the Wildcats and their fellow campers stage a high-stakes production of Frozen and determine who is “best in snow.”

The cast will perform songs from Frozen, as well as Camp Rock and the High School Musical franchise!

Joining the cast as series regulars are newcomer Adrian Lyles and I Didn’t Do It‘s Saylor Bell.

Guest stars this season include Zombies star Meg Donnelly, Hannah Montana‘s Jason Earles, who worked with the cast in seasons one and two as an acting coach, and original HSM star Corbin Bleu, as himself!!

Adrian Lyles will play Jet, Camp Shallow Lake’s mysterious new kid.

Saylor Bell will portray Maddox, a bright-eyed, quick-witted “techie,” who always follows the rules.

Meg Donnelly is cast as Val, a confident and funny college student and longtime camper-turned-Counselor-in-Training, who is ready to choreograph the summer production of Frozen.

Jason Earles is set to play Dewey Wood, the stone-faced, killjoy of a Camp Director of Camp Shallow Lake.
