'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' Season 3 Wraps Filming - Everything We Know About The Upcoming Season

We are another step closer to the premiere of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!

On Wednesday (April 13), showrunner and creator Tim Federle confirmed that the show’s third season has wrapped filming.

He reposted an Instagram story from Matt Cornett of an ice cream truck, with Tim writing, “ice cream means it’s over.”

Matt wrote on his story, “Best. Wrap food. Ever. Thank you @timfederle.”

While filming has just wrapped on the series, one of the stars, Olivia Rodrigo, already wrapped at least the week before, as she kicked off her Sour Tour a week ago!

Now that filming is done, we’re taking a look at everything we know about the upcoming third season so far.

'HSMTMTS' Stars Support Joshua Bassett, Aria Brooks & Rueby Wood at 'Better Nate Than Ever' Premiere

Aria Brooks, Rueby Wood and Joshua Bassett snap a group photo while attending the premiere of their new Disney+ movie Better Nate Than Ever held at El Capitan Theatre on Tuesday (March 15) in Hollywood.

The trio star in the movie, which was written, directed and produced by Tim Federle, who also wrote the book the movie is based on.

If you didn’t know, Tim is also the creator and showrunner of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Also in attendance were Lisa Kudrow, Norbert Leo Butz, Michelle Federer and Krystina Alabado, who co-star in the movie.

'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' Season 3 Announces New Casting, Including This 'HSM' OG

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is kicking off filming for the upcoming season three TODAY (January 18) in Los Angeles!!

As the Disney+ series heads into production, they also just announced the casting for the season, which includes series regulars Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Kate Reinders and Olivia Rodrigo, plus season two’s Olivia Rose Keegan.

Notably missing from the cast list are Joe Serafini, Larry Saperstein and Mark St Cyr.

There will also be some new faces in season three, including a Disney Channel star and an original High School Musical star!

Hannah Montana's Jason Earles To Guest Star On 'Just Roll With It' - First Look!

Jason Earles is heading back to the Disney Channel this weekend!

The former Hannah Montana/Kickin’ It actor will guest star as Skeeter Swindell on a new episode of Just Roll With It.

In “Shayna Pennsylvania,” after Byron (Tobie Windham) posts a video online of Blair singing in their new band, Hollywood music manager Skeeter Swindell (Earles) approaches Blair (Kaylin Hayman) and convinces her to become a pop star.

Blair takes on a secret pop star identity named Shayna Pennsylvania, but quickly realizes that this life is not for her.

The all new episode of Just Roll With It will air THIS Friday (October 23) at 8:26pm ET/PT on Disney Channel!

Just last year, Jason revealed that he actually served as a mentor/acting coach on a very popular new Disney+ series.

This Former Disney Channel Star Worked On 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series'!

Former Disney Channel and Disney XD star Jason Earles helped show the ropes to the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!

The 42-year-old actor, who starred as Jackson Stewart on Hannah Montana and as Rudy Gillespie/Bobby Wasabi on Kickin’ It, revealed that he actually worked as a mentor and acting coach on the new Disney+ series.

“Spent 6 Months in Salt Lake working with this amazing group, as an acting coach and mentor of sorts. By the end, we were all just family,” he shared on Instagram.

“It was humbling to watch these insanely gifted people work to constantly be better, and never settle. I am so proud of how the show turned out. Heartfelt and funny, it’s totally original but respectful of its history, and filled with amazing new music,” Jason added.

“So happy the world can finally watch these guys on Disney+ and see what I see…the next generation of Disney Stars. Congrats! Love all you guys! Can’t wait for Season 2 😉,” he concluded.

    “Twice in one week! 2018 has brought a lot of old friends back into my life and I am so grateful for the comfort of those who have known me so long,” she wrote. “Love these boys. Obviously missing our girl!”
