Joshua Bassett & More 'HSMTMTS' Stars Support Julia Lester at 'The Secret Garden' Musical Opening Night

Joshua Bassett came out to support co-star Julia Lester for the opening night musical performance of her show The Secret Garden at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre on Sunday (February 26) in Los Angeles.

The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actors were joined by co-stars Saylor Bell, Larry Saperstein, Matt Cornett, Adrian Lyles, Joe Serafini, Jason Earles and HSMTMTS creator and showrunner Tim Federle.

Also stepping out for the show were Sophia Hammons, Audrey Grace Marshall, Wednesday‘s Isaac Ordonez and Cheyenne Jackson, who briefly appeared in Into the Woods on Broadway with Julia.

Watch a video preview below of the The Secret Garden, which follows young, orphaned Mary Lennox (Emily Jewel Hoder) as she’s sent from her home in India to live with her reclusive uncle on his haunted English country estate. Guided by an exceptionally beautiful score, Mary’s unapologetic curiosity and the help of unlikely companions send her on a thrilling quest to untangle the pieces of her family’s past and, most importantly—discover herself.

Julia brilliantly plays spirited chambermaid Martha. She previously delighted audiences and received rave reviews for her performance as Little Red Riding Hood in her last musical, Into The Woods, on Broadway.
