Another 'The Flash' Star Is Leaving The Show As a Series Regular!

Sad news for fans of The Flash – another original star of the show is leaving!

It was just announced that one star will be exiting The CW series as a series regular, but will still appear in the show’s recently renewed ninth season, in multiple episodes, Deadline reports.

The contracts were up for the four original leads – Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker and Jesse L Martin – after the current eighth season, and so far only Grant has signed on for the next season.

Jesse L Martin is leaving!

Jesse has portrayed Detective Joe West on the series since it launched in 2014.

According to Deadline, it is believed that Candice and Danielle will be back for season nine, but Jesse was not approached to return.

Now, he has been cast as a lead in the NBC pilot The Irrational, which will be filmed in late May-early June in Vancouver.

It will reportedly allow him to film five episodes of The Flash for next season.

Jesse is the latest OG star to exit the show, following Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh‘s exits last season.
