The actress and singer was set to take on the titular character of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in the DC Comics movie.

Her casting in the movie was revealed just over a year ago, after beating out a few other stars who were reportedly in contention for the role.

“Querida familia! On the heels of the recent news about our movie ‘Batgirl,’ I am proud of the love, hard work and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland,” she shared on Instagram with photos and videos from set.
