If you remember, earlier this year it was announced that the sequel’s release date was moved up from mid 2023 to December 21, 2022. Now, it has been pushed back and will hit theaters on March 17, 2023, no longer competing with Avatar: The Way of Water.
Another DC movie that has been pushed back is Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which was originally set to release on March 17th. The Jason Momoa-starring sequel will now hit theaters on December 25, 2023.
The push of Aquaman is more than likely due to the reshoots that were set to take place. Jason even recently shared a photo with Ben Affleck, who presumably will be returning as Batman.
