Daryl Sabara & Alexa PenaVega Have 'Spy Kids' Reunion In NYC - See the Photos!

Daryl Sabara and Alexa PenaVega had a little Cortez sibling reunion last week in New York City!

The former Spy Kids co-stars were both in town and met up on Thursday (October 20).

Daryl was in the city with his wife Meghan Trainor, who is promoting her new album Takin’ It Back, while Alexa was in town with hubby Carlos PenaVega as they promoted their new children’s book, which is out now, and to celebrate Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas.

Meghan dished on the Spy Kids reunion while appearing on The TODAY Show, and revealed what Carlos said to her.

“We met up yesterday after my rehearsals… and we got to hang out, and her husband was there. He looked at me and was like, ‘Dude, we married the Spy Kids!’ and I was like, ‘Right?!’” Meghan shared.

“We took these pictures together and we were like, “Dude, we married them, we’re so lucky,’” she added.

Earlier this year, Daryl opened up about what he thought about the Spy Kids reboot coming to Netflix.

“I’m excited. I’m excited to see what they do with the franchise,” he said on Meghan‘s Workin’ On It podcast. “Same director, um Robert [Rodriguez]‘s doing it. I honestly, you know, this isn’t me being a spy, I really don’t know anything about it.”

“No calls yet, but, you know, I know everyone over there in that camp is really secretive and they don’t really let anything out until the last minute,” Daryl continued. “But, no matter what happens, I can’t believe that people love the movies as much as they do and that they’d even want to reboot it. That’s super cool. Love Netflix, and I’m excited to see what happens next.”
