We are learning more about actor Asher Bishop!

The voice actor is most well known for voicing the lead Lincoln Loud on Nickelodeon‘s hit animated series The Loud House.

Recently, Asher was nominated for Outstanding Younger Voice Performer in an Animated or Preschool Animated Program at the 2022 Children & Family Emmy Awards for his work on the series, his first Emmy nomination!

His other voice role credits include Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, Teen Titans Go!, Summer Camp Island and more.

We caught up with the Emmy-nominated actor and learned 10 Fun Facts about him.

• 1. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I have a fraternal twin brother who was born one minute after me, which technically makes me the oldest. We are polar opposites. I also have a younger sister by two years who is often confused as my twin.
• 2. My first name means “fortunate blessing” in Hebrew. My middle name is “S.V.” (or Sienna Vera) which name I share with both of my siblings. We were all named in memory of our sister who passed away before we were born.
• 3. The first job I ever booked was for a Capital One commercial when I was six months old. The producers put a blue duster mop around my diaper and had me crawl around the floor. I was basically a Roomba before Roombas were ever invented.
• 4. My favorite musical artist are Billie Eilish, Mitski, and Harry Styles. I saw Billie Eilish live for my 14th birthday. During the show, she asked if anyone was celebrating a birthday and I immediately jumped up and yelled. She blew me a kiss and it was the best moment ever!
• 5. I started writing, illustrating, and selling comics with my friends in elementary school. Art remains a big hobby of mine. I also enjoy creating my own short films. I definitely see writing, directing and producing in my future in addition to acting and singing.
• 6. My favorite food is New York style pizza. I’ve been known to down an entire Joe’s pizza in one sitting (yes, I have a very fast metabolism). My favorite drink is the Dragon Fruit drink from Starbucks. I’m obsessed with it and have it almost daily.
• 7. I really enjoy snow skiing. I’ve been skiing with my uncle in Utah every winter since I was eight years old and can now master black diamond slopes. I’d love to travel abroad more and ski the Alps in Canada, Switzerland, and Italy. I also enjoy water activities (snorkeling, boogie boarding and cliff jumping, etc.), so we often vacation in places like Hawaii and the Caribbean, but I’m hoping to expand my travels in the future.
• 8. I have a passion for singing and musical theater. I boarded my first flight alone from Los Angeles to New Jersey when I was thirteen years old to hone my skills at the French Woods Festival of Performing Arts. Afterwards, I joined my parents in New York to check out Broadway. I was hooked! My dream roles on stage would be to play the title role in “Beetlejuice” or Anthony from “Sweeney Todd.”
• 9. I have a knack for learning accents quickly. When I was younger, I would sometimes meet other children and pretend to be British just to test my credibility. It would drive my family crazy. Funny enough, my first live action role was to portray a British bully in Taika Waititi’s Our Flag Means Death. It would be really cool to be cast in more British period dramas.
• 10. I am a brain cancer survivor. I was diagnosed just before my third birthday with a very rare tumor. After two brain surgeries, I had to learn to walk and talk again. I have been in remission for eleven years and am forever grateful to the amazing team of doctors at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center for saving my life. Because of my experience, I raise funds for and donate to charities that treat critically ill children. I’d love to do even more in the future to pay it forward!
