'Emily In Paris' Season 4 Filming Delayed Due to Writer's Strike

Emily In Paris is the latest series whose next season is being affected by the ongoing writer’s strike!

The Netflix show was reportedly looking to start filming season four in the late summer or early fall, but according to Variety, it’s being delayed by two months.

While filming is currently pushed back by a couple of months, that could extend to an even longer delay, depending on how long the strike continues. Currently, they’re looking to start filming end of fall.

Recently, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays Sylvie, shared of the delay, noting the show has been put on pause “a little bit. We’re waiting for it to be resolved. We’ll see how it settles!”

The writer’s strike has not only been affecting MANY US productions, but film and TV productions around the world.

Another Netflix series whose filming on their next season has been delayed is Stranger Things.

Other popular shows being affected by the strike also include Disney Channel’s Bunk’d and HBO’s Euphoria, among more.

The Writer’s Guild of America strike began in early May, as the union seeks better compensation for their work amid a changing media landscape with streaming. The last time there was a WGA strike, which was in late 2007-early 2008, and that lasted 14 weeks.

Currently, the 2023 strike is going into it’s fifth week.
