OlderOscar Winner Sarah Polley Reportedly In Talks to Direct Live Action 'Bambi'
Sarah Polley could be taking on the live action adaptation of Bambi!
The Academy Award-winner screenwriter and director is in talks to direct the upcoming new version of the Disney animated film, according to Deadline.
First revealed in early 2020, the live action movie is currently in early development, but already has quite the team attached.

Bambi will be a musical and feature music from Kacey Musgraves, with the most recent draft of the script by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster.
This movie will reportedly use the same technology they used to make the live action versions of The Jungle Book and The Lion King.
The Bambi news is just the latest in Disney live action remakes. The Little Mermaid recently debuted in theaters, and Snow White will be out in Spring 2024.
Also in the works are Lilo & Stitch, which is close to beginning filming, and Moana, which is still also in early development, but did just get a release date!
