Troye Sivan Responds to Backlash for His 'Rush' Music Video

In response to criticism for not featuring bigger bodies in the “Rush” video, Troye said…

“I expect critique all the time – I am on the internet enough to know that people love sharing what they think about things, and I think that’s really cool. If everyone hated it, I’m sure that would suck for me, but thankfully it didn’t go like that.”

He also spoke about expectations of queer artists in general.

“In general, queer artists are held to a really high standard. There are a lot of double standards where people might not come for X person, but they come for Y person about the same thing. I also understand it, because it’s like, ‘OK, coming from a place of persecution, I guess you should know better’, and I get that.”

He also opened up about his new album art.
