Shawn Johnson makes a grand entrance during the Jaguar Landrover Challenge wheelchair rugby match during the 2016 Invictus Games Orlando held at ESPN Wide World of Sports on Wednesday (May 11) in Kissimmee, Fla.
The 24-year-old newlywed athlete was on Wilmer Valderrama‘s Jaguar team and battled it out with Derek Hough on Team Land Rover, which was coached by wrestler John Cena.
Teams consisted of three celebrities, one celebrity team manager, wheelchair rugby players, and one wheelchair rugby coach each.
The day started off with an early morning training program where the celebrity participants joined the experienced players to learn the ins-and-outs of Wheelchair Rugby. This was the first opportunity for the celebrity participants to meet each other, become adjusted to their personalized wheelchairs and join fellow supporters in learning the stories behind their co-players experiences as veterans and wounded warriors.
The Invictus Games are the international adaptive sporting event for wounded, ill and injured servicemen and servicewomen, both serving and Veteran. The Invictus Games 2016 highlights 500 competitors from 14 nations compete in 10 sports.
