Angus T. Jones morphs out with the Power Rangers Samurai during Variety‘s 2011 Power of Youth event held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood on Saturday (October 22).
The 18-year-old actor was recognized for his ongoing work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“I realize cancer affects all ages of people, but the kids (at St. Jude) really touch my heart,” Angus tells Variety. “Anything to make their day more ‘normal’ — a smile, a hug, a visit from someone they may or may not even know — helps take their mind off what they are going through. I can’t imagine what a difficult situation it would be to have cancer as a child. I respect St. Jude and all they do.”

Hayden Panettiere steps out with a beaming smile on her face at Variety‘s 2011 Power Of Youth event presented by The Hub at Paramount Studios on Saturday afternoon (October 22) in Hollywood.
The 21-year-old actress recently chatted with Yahoo about how she got involved in The Whaleman Foundation, which she was recognized for.
Hayden shared, “Well, I was on a film when I was 15. It was an independent film called Shanghai Kiss, and the founder of the Whaleman Foundation, Jeff Pantukhoff, pulled me aside on the last day and said, ‘I know you’re a fan of animals. Can I show you what I do?’ He showed me footage of the dolphins and whales, and what was going on, and I said, ‘Absolutely, let me know what I can do.’”

The 12-year-old actress flew the red eye all the way from Atlanta, where she’s filming a movie, to attend the event.

Bailee was honored for her continuous support for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, an organization named in honor of it’s founder who wanted to help others like herself who suffered from any type of childhood cancer.
