2023 Cannes Film Festival Latest News, Photos, and Videos

Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie walk the red carpet together at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 27) in Cannes, France.

The two stepped out for the premiere of their upcoming Pixar movie Elemental, which served as the closing film at the annual festival this year.

Leah and Mamoudou were also joined by French actors Adèle Exarchopoulos and Vincent Lacoste, who star in the French-language version of the movie, as well as director Peter Sohn and producers Denise Ream and Pete Doctor.

Also attending the premiere and closing ceremony of the festival were Larsen Thompson, Abigail Cowen, Jacob Rott, Eva Longoria and Marvel stars David Harbour and Brie Larson, who was part of the festival jury.

Earlier that day, Leah, Mamoudou, Adele, Vincent and the creatives all stepped out for the film’s photo call.

The day before, the stars hit up another photo call on Cannes’ iconic Carlton Beach.

Elemental introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

Charli D’Amelio and Abigail Cowen hit the blue carpet at the 2023 amfAR Gala held during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Monday (May 22) in Antibes, France.

The 19-year-old TikTok star and the 25-year-old Fate: The Winx Saga actress actually wore the same dress to the event, but in different colors!

Charli went with the black Monot box cutout dress, white bows, while Abigail went with the all white version. They both wore their hair hair down and struck similar poses on the carpet.

Also in attendance was Charli‘s mom Heidi, who wore a bright red cutout dress, also by the same designer, Monot.

Just a couple days before, Abigail hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of the upcoming HBO series The Idol.

Tyler Hoechlin and Ian Bohen are black and white studs while attending the 2023 amfAR Gala held during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Monday (May 22) in Antibes, France.

The Teen Wolf: The Movie co-stars and friends were among the many celebrities who stepped out for the annual event.

For those that don’t know, the amfAR Gala takes place on one of the final days of the annual film festival each year, and raises money for AIDS research, helping to find a cure and end the global AIDS epidemic.

Also seen in attendance at the gala this year included Shay Mitchell, Storm Reid and her mom Robyn, Troye Sivan, Alton Mason, Amelia Gray, Chris Olsen, Stassie Karanikolaou, Jacob Rott and Reece Feldman, among many, many more.

Earlier in the week, Troye attended the Versace fashion show, where Amelia walked the runway. He was also seen premiering his upcoming HBO series The Idol.

K-pop was out in full force at Celine’s Cannes Film Festival 2023 dinner hosted by Hedi Slimane and held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Monday (May 22) in Antibes, France.

Two of the biggest stars from two of the biggest K-pop groups, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa and BTS‘ V, were among the many in attendance at the event with the fashion brand.

Lisa and V also joined fellow artist Park Bo Gum and Chinese actress Jingyi Zhang for a group photo.

Also in attendance at the dinner were Noah Jupe, Jack Dylan Grazer, Griffin Gluck, Joe Alwyn, Kaia Gerber, Olivia DeJonge, Grace Van Dien, Paul Kircher and Earl Cave among many others.

If you didn’t know, V‘s rumored girlfriend and Lisa‘s group mate, Jennie, is at the Cannes Film Festival as well, where she premiered her upcoming new series The Idol. Check out photos of her here!

Lily-Rose Depp and Troye Sivan share a cute moment atop the stairs at the world premiere of their upcoming series The Idol held at Palais des Festivals during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 22) in Cannes, France.

The two stars were joined by their co-stars Jennie, The Weeknd, Hari Nef, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Moses Sumney, Hank Azaria and Rachel Sennott, as well as co-creator Sam Levinson, with wife/producer Ashley Levinson.

Following the premiere, the cast attended their after party, where they switched up their looks, and were also joined by another co-star, Suzanna Son, as well as by Manu Rios (who was spotted shirtless earlier that day!) and Abigail Cowen.

The next day, Lily-Rose, Troye, Jennie, The Weeknd, Hari and Sam all stepped out for the series’ photo call during the annual festival.

Sofia Carson looks incredibly stunning in a red gown while attending the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 20) in Cannes, France.

The 30-year-old entertainer complimented her strapless gown with white gloves and a beautiful necklace as she stepped out for the Killers of the Flower Moon premiere over the weekend.

Sofia took to Instagram to share about the necklace and the special connection she has to someone who previously wore the jewelry piece.

Charles Melton wears a white tuxedo jacket while stepping out for the 2023 Cannes Film Festival premiere of his new movie May December held at Palais des Festivals on Saturday (May 20) in Cannes, France.

The 32-year-old Riverdale actor joined his co-stars Natalie Portman, Julianne Moore and Cory Michael Smith, as well as director Todd Haynes.

The next day, the cast and director stepped out for their film’s photo call and press conference at the festival.

Charles was also seen in attendance at the 2023 Kering Women in Motion Awards on Sunday (May 21), and at the Discover Red with Campari event on Saturday (May 20), where he met up with Luke Evans.

This is actually Charles‘ first film festival, and what a first it is!

In May December, per Variety, Julianne and Natalie “anchor the intense portrait of the scandalous romance of an older woman (Moore) and her young employee (Melton). Almost 20 years after the affair made headlines, the couple are preparing to send their almost-adult children off to college. At the same time, a movie star (Portman) comes to study the family for an upcoming film about their lives.”
