“Image” is the second single from the 23-year-old singer’s upcoming Crimson EP, which is due out later this year.
In an interview with Billboard, Chase explained the meaning behind the lyrics: “I’ve kind of always had a curiosity about the importance of one’s image in society; what’s the ‘best’ image, why is that the best image, etc. What I’ve found is that none of us have an image that is set in stone…who we are changes as we grow and mature and that’s okay. That’s the message I wanted to get across,” he says.
“Today I performed for my old high school!” the 21-year-old “Mirror” singer posted on Instagram.
“Such a nostalgic feeling. What blew me away was the amount of people that screamed for my song ‘Hurt’ and sang the lyrics with me. People know my songs and I’m so grateful. Thank you!”
It must be such a surreal experience to revisit the place you grew up having achieved so much.
For the final last night (September 20), the “Mirror” singer teamed up with James Arthur on his hit song “Say You Won’t Let Go”, and it was just as amazing as you’d expect it to be.

The singer joined fellow finalist Chase Goehring on the red carpet after performing a stunning rendition of “What A Wonderful World” — a song she just in tribute to her father, who passed away last week.
“That was my dad’s favorite song, he’d always sing that. That would be the only song he would sing in public,” Evie told ET. “So, that was kind of like a tribute to him.”
Evie also opened up about coming back to the show so soon afterwards.
“I just prayed before that I would be able to do that and I feel like I really had strength from God and I know my dad was there,” she shared.

The singer/songwriter expressed his gratitude to all his fans ahead of the show, writing, “Wow… I can’t believe the AGT finale is tomorrow. Thank you everyone for being a part of this journey with me. I’m giving it my all!”
Chase also revealed he’ll be premiering a brand new song that no one’s heard before.
“I’m singing an original song that I haven’t released yet so I’m really excited!” he wrote on Instagram.
“This journey has been a once in a lifetime and I couldn’t be here without all of you!”
