Ariel Winter gets a big hug from Eden Sher on the carpet at the Variety and Women In Film Pre-Emmy Event held at Scarpetta on Friday night (September 21) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 14-year-old Modern Family actress stopped to chat with PopSugar on the press line at the Saint Vintage sponsored event about the upcoming season of the show, which premieres this week.

“I hope they do,” Ariel shared of the Mitchell and Cameron baby storyline. “It really killed me last season when they didn’t get the baby and they were out in the desert. It’s heart-wrenching because that actually happens.”

Charlie McDermott and Eden Sher chat a bit while swinging on a swing set in this new still from the season premiere of The Middle.
In the episode “Last Whiff of Summer,” Frankie’s (Patricia Heaton) plans to recreate the magic of her own childhood summers are foiled when Mike (Neil Flynn) lets it slip that Axl (McDermott) is his favorite Heck child, and Frankie tries to coax the kids into telling them who their favorite parent is.
Meanwhile, when Frankie and Mike discover that Axl failed English during the past school year, they force him to make it up in summer school, otherwise he could jeopardize any chance of getting a college sports scholarship after graduation.
Brick (Atticus Shaffer) takes up growing a tomato for his summer project; and Sue (Sher) tries to bond with a reluctant Mike and to get him involved in different activities with her — which she plans to document in a giant scrapbook.

Bailey Buntain is headed to Orson, Indiana.
The Bunheads actress will guest star on ABC’s The Middle during an upcoming episode, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Bailey, who you know as Ginny on Bunheads, will guest star as Jenna.
Jenna is an incoming freshman that Sue (Eden Sher) decides to mentor, but who will ultimately not need her help to become popular.
The Middle returns to ABC on September 26th @ 8PM ET/PT.

The 20-year-old actress plays 14-year-old Sue on the ABC series, now in its 3rd season, opposite Patricia Heaton and Atticus Shaffer.
“People are generally pretty shocked when they see me,” Eden told the NY Post about running into fans on the streets. “They are like, ‘You are so mature and pretty.’ I just smile and say, ‘Thank you!’”
Eden added about one of the roles she hopes to tackle, “I am always getting the funny girl – the better characters, really – but I just want to sometimes be the pretty girl… I can do it. I swear!”
