The 25-year-old musician is out promoting his new album, Everything Is 4.
Speaking with USA Today, Jason opened up about getting Stevie Wonder to collaborate on “Broke”.
“I just asked him, ‘You want to play harmonica on one of my songs?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, man, (we’re) family. It’s all good,’” Jason shared.
He continued, “And then (I asked), ‘Would you want to sing on it, too?’ He was like, ‘Man, if I hear that song on the radio and I’m not on it, I’m going to whoop your a**.’ So the rest is history.”

The 25-year-old entertainer, whose new album Everything is 4 drops today, will join DJs Hannah Bronfman and Brendan Fallis at the event, which acknowledges the importance of music in the schools.
“Music education played an important role throughout my childhood and is something that remains very close to my heart,” Jason said in a statement. “I’m honored for the opportunity to team with VH1 Save The Music Foundation this summer in support of a cause that’s so dear to me. Come out and join us in the Hamptons!”

“There’s some talk about me doing The Voice here. It’s a cool show, there’s interest from both parties, myself and them,” Jason shared. “I’d like to sit with will.i.am sure, but let’s see if we are able to do that contractually.”
