Lauren Alaina and her boyfriend, comedian John Crist, have split after a few months of dating.

The 24-year-old country singer previously announced her new relationship back in May and she just revealed they have broken up ahead of her Dancing With the Stars debut.

Lauren was appearing on The Bobby Bones Show and the host asked how John felt about her “being on the [DWTS] now that you’ve been practicing for a couple of weeks.” Lauren responded by saying she does not “have a boyfriend anymore.”

Lauren added, “I mean, there’s, like, no big story. We were, like, best friends before we dated, and we’re still best friends. It just didn’t work out. I guess that’s how dating goes, right?”

She was also quick to say she is not in love with her dance partner. She said, “No, no — I have not. I have not fallen in love with my dance partner.”

Lauren Alaina stuns in a beautiful red gown at the 2019 Symphony Fashion Show held at Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Tuesday night (May 14) in Nashville, Tenn.

The 24-year-old country music star, who hit the stage for a performance at the event, was joined on the red carpet by Carolina Herrera‘s Creative Director Wes Gordon.

The next morning, Lauren made an appearance on the Bobby Bones Show and revealed that she is dating comedian John Crist.

While on the show, the couple talked about how they met – Lauren slid into John‘s DMs!
