The 16-year-old singer took total creative control over his new music from start to finish and worked with tons of different people, making every song unique.
“Every song is a reflection of how I’m actually feeling. Teenage Fever kind of looks inside my head and shares a sound that’s more authentic than it has ever been. The songs are about experiences I’ve had – things I think all teenagers can relate to – especially while trying to navigate the high school years,” Johnny explained.

“’Sleep’ is all about living in the moment, and not wanting that moment to end,” Johnny shared about the track. “It’s about being with someone you like so much you just don’t want to be apart from them – staying up all night, having fun. Actually, that’ exactly what we did when we were making this video! It was such a blast to shoot and I can’t wait to share it with my fans.”

The 16-year-old singer announced his Teenage Fever Tour, kicking off at the end of April. The tour shares the same name as his debut EP, which he also just announced.

The 16-year-old musician had been teasing fans for quite a while with lyrics from his new songs, before announcing the release date and revealing the album artwork on Instagram for Valentine’s Day.
“I can’t believe it’s finally here,” Johnny started. “After a year of working on this project I’m so excited to finally announce my debut EP ‘Teenage Fever’ out March 15th.”
The pre-order and the first single called “Sleep” will be out tonight, February 15th.
“I can’t wait for you guys to hear this new music, this is the next chapter,” Johnny added.
The 15-year-old singer made an appearance on Zach Sang Show to talk about his latest single “Last Summer” and more.
During the interview, he revealed that LSD‘s song “Genius” heavily inspired the song, and he talked about his upcoming EP.
“The EP is coming out, I’m not allowed to say specifics, but next spring,” Johnny told host Zach Sang. “It is [done]. We have the tracklist, we have everything, everything good to go. We might do a couple more sessions if we can get really cool producers, but we don’t have anything planned as of now.”
