Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd put a spell over the audience on Dancing with the Stars on Monday (May 2) from Los Angeles.
The 26-year-old deaf model and activist and Peta wowed with a lovely Foxtrot to “Beautiful Day” from U2 for the show’s Icon Night.
Nyle and Peta received a score of 28 out of 30 from the judges for their performance.

Nyle DiMarco has been taking a lot of flack for his comments during last week’s Dancing With The Stars.
The 26-year-old activist and model signed in his vlog about what the package showed and what he really feels.
“So much happened in our [mine and Peta Murgatroyd] package this past Monday on the live show, and I feel like it was kind of a negative perspective of me,” Nyle shared. “It showed me as kind of being arrogant and cocky, and that’s not who I am.”
He added, “It was so hard for me to say anything because I was misperceived. And being deaf and also being a minority, I have a huge responsibility to represent the deaf community well. And, on top of that, I also have my own foundation and I’m the face of that foundation and I can’t have that image.”
If you missed it, Nyle had stated that he didn’t see any of the contestants as competition, but pro Val Chmerkovskiy instead.

The 30-year-old pro dancer and partner Antonio Brown threw out the first ceremonial pitch at the baseball game after their dance practice earlier in the day.

Sharna and Antonio hit the studio again on Saturday (April 30) to work on their individual dance and team dance, along with Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas, Peta Murgatroyd, Nyle DiMarco, Von Miller, Witney Carson and more.

Also in attendance were model and Dancing with the Stars contestant Nyle DiMarco, who brought his mom Donna as his date, and actress AnnaLynne McCord.
Nina took to Instagram before the event to post a photo of herself getting ready, writing, “Pink lip. So hip.”

Nyle will be attending the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend in Washington, D.C., and will be bringing Gallaudet University President Roberta Cordano as his plus-one.
An interpreter will also be accompanying Nyle and Roberta, as both are deaf, to the event where they’ll sit at People‘s table.

Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd heat up the dance floor with one smokin’ quickstep on Dancing With The Stars on Monday night (April 25) from Los Angeles.
Ahead of his performance, the 26-year-old deaf model and activist made some comments about not seeing the other stars as his competition, and pointed out that he looked to pro Val Chmerkovskiy as his competition instead.
“Like playing a sport as a newbie, you would study Professionals as if they’re ‘to beat’… Only to push yourself. This is why I study Val,” Nyle explained on Twitter later on. “I can’t lie…#DWTS stars are great!! It is just how I strategize towards the Mirror Ball and I think it is not wrong.”
Val also came to his defense and thanked him for the compliment: “.@NyleDiMarco you embracing dance and being ambitious about it is HUGE compliment not just to me but to the dance world as a whole. #DWTS.”
