Victoria Justice sits down for a chat on The Meredith Vieria Show that aired on Thursday (January 29).
The 21-year-old Eye Candy actress addressed the rumors head on, putting a nail in the coffin on her feud with former co-star Ariana Grande.
“Okay, I would love to set the record straight because I feel these rumors have been going on way too long. So basically, there was an article in Seventeen Magazine where she had said she was bullied on set and the magazine basically alluded to it being me. Once article came out, actually before the article came out she texted me privately, ‘Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. You know how the media twists words. I was not talking about you obviously, I was talking about someone on Broadway I had worked with.’ But once it got out there Everyone thought I was this bully and mean to her, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Sure we have had our differences but at end of the day everyone on cast of Victorious was a family and I love and respect all of them and wish all of them well no matter what,” she shared.
Vic continued, ” It was just this ongoing thing and then people were blaming me saying I was selfish for going on tour and I was reason Victorious was cancelled, which first of all couldn’t be further from the truth because I am not a Nickelodeon executive. I have absolutely no power on whether or not the show continues on. A lot of the other cast members didn’t want to go on a Victorious tour anyway so it was just kind of unfair and it was this whole thing. Hopefully, now she’s talked about it, I’ve talked about it, there is no feud, we can put this behind us now and practice what Frozen preaches my friends and let it go to the media. Let’s let it go.”

The 21-year-old actress recently opened up about her alleged feud with Ariana Grande and the end of Victorious.
“I didn’t break up anything. That’s complete misinformation,” she told TMZ. “I had no control of me leaving the show or the show ending. That was up to Nickelodeon and the executives. I love the cast and I loved doing Victorious. There was much more to that story that people don’t know. I don’t think that’s fair to blame it on me.”
She added about Ariana, “There’s no feud. We’re not best friends, but at the end of the day, I wish her well and she’s doing great and I’m happy for her. We’re on our own different paths.”

JustJaredJr.com: Hi Victoria! We’re excited about the show! Tell us about how you became involved with it. We’re you looking for a new TV role?
Victoria Justice: I was looking for a new TV role, definitely. I had been sent a few different scripts from different networks and I knew I wanted to do something different than Victorious. I ha been doing sitcoms and comedies since I was 12 to 19. I was like, “OK, I’m 21 now. I want to challenge myself as an actress. I want to do a one-hour drama. I read the Eye Candy script and I loved the people who were involved with it. I felt like I was in good hands as far as I knew the scary suspenseful stuff would be done well. And then when I read the script, it was such a page turner for me. I was so invested in my character and there were so many twists and turns. I loved that it was dark and creepy. It was everything I wanted my next project to be. And it’s also has this sexiness to it and I’m very excited to be playing a woman my own age now. So hopefully people like it!
