China Anne McClain and Storm Reid are just two of the 27 trailblazers featured in Teen Vogue‘s Future Icons feature.
The magazine boasts that “theirs are the faces and names that will stand the test of time – just watch.”
China Anne opens up in the glossy about her new show, Black Lightning.
“I am so excited because playing a superhero has been a dream of mine for forever,” she says. “I love playing powerful female characters, let alone African American female characters.”
Storm adds about her upcoming feature film, A Wrinkle in Time: “Working with Ava DuVernay [who directed A Wrinkle in Time] was incredible. It was the first time I’d seen so many people of color and women on a set before. I feel very proud to be a part of it all.”
