Zac Efron is all smiles while making an appearance on The Graham Norton Show‘s New Year’s Eve spectacular, airing on New Year’s Eve (December 31).

The 49-year-old actor was joined on the big couch by his The Greatest Showman co-stars Zendaya and Hugh Jackman, as well as Gary Oldman and Doctor Foster‘s Suranne Jones.

On the show, Zac tells a genuinely alarming story about how his life almost ended thanks to Hugh: “I cycled with him in London but I’m not one to ride a bike early in the morning in traffic so it turned out to be quite dangerous,” Zac recalled. “I followed Hugh around a few cars and suddenly there was a double decker bus right in front of me.”

“I slammed on the brakes, went under the front tyre and narrowly missed death. Hugh was on the other side of the road and stuck up his thumb and just said, ‘You good? Let’s go,’” Zac concluded.

During the show, Graham asked Hugh to channel P.T. Barnum, who he plays in The Greatest Showman, to introduce all the talented guests on the couch – Watch below!

Zac Efron was in a giving mood on Christmas and he gave fans something they definitely wanted this year… more shirtless content!

The 30-year-old The Greatest Showman actor went shirtless on his hike on Monday (December 25) and shared a hot photo on Instagram.

While we’re not exactly sure where Zac is spending the holiday, he showed off more views of the beautiful scenery on his Instagram Stories. You can check out those pictures in the gallery.

At the end of the hike, Zac treated himself to a Christmas cookie, which he clearly earned!

Zendaya and Zac Efron both have opened up about their kiss in their new movie, The Greatest Showman, on many occasions.

However, in a new interview, the 21-year-old actress gets really honest about the smooch you’ll see on the big screen.

“It’s not a normal kiss,” she emphasizes. “This kiss is very special not just because it’s two actors kissing…these two characters have gone through so much and this kiss symbolises a lot more than just kissing someone.”

Zendaya adds, “In the context of the movie, it’s very brave and honestly dangerous. There’s something special about it in that way.”

The Greatest Showman is out in theaters NOW.

Auditions for each project — like movies or television — are pretty straight forward.

You read for a group of casting directors, producers, and directors, vying for a part in the project that everyone else is wanting to get — however, that wasn’t the case for Zendaya and The Greatest Showman.

Speaking with the L.A. Times, she spoke about how she learned she got the part, opposite Zac Efron.

“It wasn’t a normal audition; it was more relaxed than that,” she remembers, saying that ahead of the meeting, she recorded her own version of “Rewrite The Stars“.

Zendaya shares, “I was like, ‘Would it be cool if you could send me the song so I could record it?’ I have, like, a studio set up in my garage…’ I wanted to show them what I could do. So I recorded my own version of my half of the song.”

“It was funkier, it had heavier bass and drums,” Zac chimed in about her version of the track. “Her range was shown in it. ‘This is badass.’ Michael [Gracey, director] was giving me side-eye, every time she looked away…”

After presenting her version, she still didn’t know she was cast in the movie — even after Michael invited her to “hang out” with him and Zac.

Zac asked, “You didn’t know yet?”

“I didn’t know,” Zendaya says. “That’s why I recorded the song.”

“Oh, that explains a lot,” he added. “To me, Michael was like, ‘Do you want to hang out with Zendaya and see what she’s like before you guys start shooting?’ ”

The Greatest Showman is out in theaters today.

The 30-year-old actor was spotted spending time on Bondi Beach on Tuesday (December 19) in Sydney, Australia.

Zac met up with his co-star Hugh Jackman on the beach – the two actors are in town for the Australian premiere of The Greatest Showman. They’re definitely enjoying their time together: they also hit the gym and showed off their muscles!

Earlier in the day, Zac and Hugh were spotted arriving ahead of the premiere at Sydney Airport alongside their co-star, Zendaya.
