OlderMurray High School Sets Up David Archuleta Music Scholarship
David Archuleta just continues to inspire.
The 19-year-old musician has brought alma mater Murray High School’s music scholarship program to life. For everything that David has shown his supporters, his supporters wanted to return the favor by providing a way to help out his hometown of Murray, Utah and Murray High School.
The David Archuleta Music Scholarship was created in February of 2010 to provide musically inclined, outstandingly dedicated Murray High School students with the funds to strive for musical achievements in an instructional establishment of higher education. Each year one scholarship will be awarded to a senior student from Murray High School in Murray, Utah to fund their music dreams.

Wish the headline was more reflective that this was “fan” organized… it just seems that the school and the school supporters organized this. Supporters is a bit different than “fans”.

It’s always a great feeling to know if we’re able to make even a bit of difference and help improve someone’s situation. Young people now a day need all the help they can get. Good idea!
jon, i’m sure those that set it up don’t mind not getting credit for it in the story. they didn’t do it for recognition. when you do something like this, it isn’t so you’ll get recognized for it, it’s for a good cause. that would sort of be like giving a lot of money to charity, and then telling everyone about it. that would mean you did it for the wrong reason.

yes the headline is a bit misleading as the Scholarship idea came from fans, who then approached Murray High, and then had to have it ok’d by David and his management before it could be launched.
It was set up so fans had a way to Honor David, and support something so close to David’s heart. MUSIC.
